Anomaly Scan
20 weeks - 23 weeks
This scan checks for fetal abnormalities and examines the following:
- Your baby's heart rate
- Your placenta and the amount of fluid in the amniotic sac
- Your baby's organs including the brain, spine, limbs, bowel, stomach and kidneys
In some cases, the anomaly scan will also measure the length of the cervix, which may give an indication of the risks of going into labour early. You will receive a comprehensive report detailing the health and growth of your baby.
This scan can take up to 45 minutes.
